News,links and Updates- October 2009
Having originally made the decision some time ago, to eventually cut down, and / or to give up breeding Beautiful Burmese for pets, due to changes in circumstances, things are progressing slowly, very slowly, as it takes time, and isn't the easiest to do with something which brings so much pleasure:)
I currently have a litter of healthy and happy kittens, well cared for by Mum, the kittens show signs of inheriting the lovely natures and temperaments of their parents, and will be ready to go to new homes in early December. There may possibly be another litter due in January to another very good Mum, however these may well be the last kittens for some time. It has been such a pleasure to be able to place kittens in homes where they have been loved and cared for, and much treasured, and to have been kept up to date with many of their details through emails and pictures.
It takes an enormous amount of constant hard work, quite aside from actually caring for and socialising cats and kittens, and not to mention the rapidly increasing costs involved, to pursue this hobby well, or as well as I would always want to.
I was privileged to be awarded further Breeders Awards of Merits during this last show season just ended, and thank the owners of those cats/ kittens, both here and away, who entered their Dreamcatchers into NZCF shows.
